THE PV PLANTS WILL SUM UP A TOTAL INSTALLED CAPACITY OF 370MWp AND OVER 1 MILLION OF PV MODULES WILL BE INSTALLED.
The company HUNTEC, through its subsidiary HUNTEC MEXICO, has recently signed the contract for the construction of two large-scale PV plants in México.
The Hermosillo PV plant will have a total installed capacity of 136MWp. It will have 392.940 PV panels installed with the capacity of 345 and 350W each and is located 20km east from the Mexican city Hermosillo, state of SONORA.
Santiago's photovoltaic project will have a total installed capacity of 231MWp. 663.840 PV modules will be installed with the capacity of 345, 350 and 355W. The project will be located within the reach of the town Arriaga, only 45 min from the city of San Luis de Potosí.
The company from Albacete, specialist in electrical installations and renewable energy, will be in charge of the electrical installation of the one-axis trackers, the connection of the PV modules, the power-generation wiring, the MP wiring and connections, the auxiliary services' wiring, the earthing, the communications' wiring and the commissioning of the PV plants.
The solar plants will be provided with more than 1 million 345, 350 y 355Wp photovoltaic polycrystalline modules with a combined capacity of 370MW. The projects are scheduled to start construction by the end of July and start operating in May 2018. The plants will generate sufficient energy to power the equivalent of half a million of households and will prevent the emission into the atmosphere of 1 million of tons of CO2 per year.
Huntec has participated on the construction of PV plants, totaling the works described above, out of a total installed capacity of 1121MW during the year 2017 in Mexico, the reason why it had to move its Mexican offices to new headquarters more according to its new volume of work in this Central American country. The address of the new headquarters in Mexico is: HUNTEC MEXICO SA de CV - Hegel 153 - int 201 - Colonia Polanco, Delegacion Miguel Hidalgo - 11550 - DF Mexico.
"Thanks to our experience we have been able to experience fast expansion on the Mexican market, and we are considered as one of the major players and a participant to be considered within the renewable energy sphere both in Europe and America" pointed out Mr. Juan Jose Moreno Sánchez, Huntec's CEO.
